The hour wasted? Let’s just say that the wait at Boca City Hall is a bit much. After signing in upon arrival, I waited an hour. Yes, after an hour of just waiting, it was still not my turn. I finally understood why the lady next to me kept grumbling and seemed to be in the worst mood! City Hall has a large waiting area – and now I know why. I was just there to quickly (ah-hem!) obtain a license for a home business (that’s another story) – but I had to pick up Cubs at school at 4:00. I got there arte 2:45 thinking I would have plenty of time. By 3:50, I walked out the door. The guy who signed in right before me had been called to station 4 at about 3:35, so I thought, “Surely I will be able to take care of this before I have to leave.” WRONG! They call your name (not mine…) over a speaker and it is very difficult to hear. Maybe that’s because they have 3 televisions turned on – on 2 different stations! Two televisions are tuned to CNN Headline News. The other? Something else LOUD! Now I know why it’s called Headline News - that’s all it is – headline news over and over and over (at least within a one hour period!). Oh yeah, I almost forgot, headline news plus a cheesy expose’ on the sex trade in the Czech Republic (AGH!!!!!).
Deep breaths…. Hmm, I guess I’ll try again on another day when I have at least 2 hours to waste away…
